October 11th 6:30pm: TEF Hosts Dr. Butler

Just wanted to remind everyone that we will be hosting Dr. Butler this
upcoming Tuesday Oct 11th at 6:30 pm.  This will be held in the same room as
the last meeting, room CBA 4.344.  As the Academic Director of the EMIC, Dr. Butler will be presenting an overview of the Energy Management and Innovation Center (EMIC) at McCombs and will talk about some of the events and conferences being planned for this year.  As our second general meeting of the semester, we want to also present a good overview of what we are here to offer UT with our own energy-related events.  As always, pizza
and drinks will be provided during the presentation.  Hope to see you there.

More on the McCombs Energy Management and Innovation Center:
The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin
established the Energy Management & Innovation Center to serve as a
college-wide center of excellence to promote energy-related research
and teaching. EMIC takes an integrative and multidisciplinary approach
toward energy problems, broadly defined, with the aim of creating
intellectual capital of use to industry and policy-makers, educating
students in energy management and innovation, and linking the McCombs
School’s activities in this area to the university’s energy
initiatives and other sources of knowledge and information about the
world’s energy future.

Thanks,
Otto Swingler
